Spring Programs:
Young Creators Studio (Gr. 1-5); Young Creators Studio is a fun class to hone writing and storytelling skills while expressing creativity! Students will improve grammar, writing fluency and structure, and craft new writing pieces. In addition, this class is an introduction to stage acting. We will study acting and rehearsal techniques & perform monologues & scenes.
Crime Scene Analysis: Experience real-life application in Crime Scene Analysis. Become the center of the action as a CSI agent and conduct forensic science experiments. In the laboratory get ready to learn how to collect and perform analysis of evidence, record findings, and use critical thinking to find the culprit. Everyone will enjoy our interactive and amazing crime scene reproductions.
Engenius Kids (Gr. 1-5); Students interested in engineering and STEM-based activities will have a blast in this class! We'll cover concepts including the engineering design process, engineering as a career, and the growth mindset (plus more!) through project-based activities that students of all ages will love. Each class will have its own challenge that students will need to tackle as a group. We'll focus on creating a safe and comfortable learning environment where students will be encouraged to use critical thinking skills to generate new ideas as solutions. Planting Seeds Press: Want to be on TV but don't consider yourself an actor. Try broadcast journalism. Planting Seeds Press is designed to form a team of young reporters who cover current events, breaking news, entertainment stories, and sporting events around the world. Students will have fun taking on the roles of News Anchor, News Reporter, Meteorologist and more! Until next time Planting Seeds Press signing off!
Working with Clay: This course is for students who would like to explore working with air-dry clay. They will explore using basic tools, experimenting with textures, and techniques working with clay. They will create their own pieces of art during each class. Projects include: sculptures, mugs, hanging pot + more!
