    Summer Camp: Respect My Groove: Exciting Week of Dance, Teamwork and Healthy Habits! During this 4-day camp, students will have an opportunity to engage in a variety of games and activities that focus on movement and dance. They will start each class with teambuilding games and activities. Next, they will do warm-ups and stretching to get their bodies ready for learning and practicing a variety of dances. Early in the week, the BE KIND CREW, who are the instructors, will teach specific dance routines to the students. Later in the week, students will have an opportunity to be a part of the Kids’ CREW, which means that they will have an opportunity to do some of their own dance choreography and creation. The culmination of the week-long Respect My Groove Camp Session will be a polished dance routine that students can show their friends and family. Both the BE KIND Pledge skills (I pledge to be: encouraging, supportive, positive, helpful, honest, considerate, thankful, responsible, respectful, and a friend) and the 10 skills of the Healthy Habits Checklist (Move, Stretch, Strengthen, Sleep, Rethink My Drink, Eat the Rainbow, Snack Smart, Breathe Deeply, Be Me and LOVE it! and Be Kind) will be discussed, practiced and part of all games, conversations and activities during this fun, high-energy, engaging camp session.
