BHS Basha Wrestling Session 1 When does your season start? Folkstyle session 1 starts in September 14th and ends in December 17th. Folkstyle session 2 starts in January and ends in March Freestyle session starts in March and goes through May (Experienced wrestlers only). Summer Session (closed session - invite only). What are the ages? The Bear Club is open for all girls and boys ages 6 through Junior High age. Will Jr High kids practice separately? No. Practices are separated between beginner and advanced. There may be a junior high pre-season camp for these wrestlers. What is the cost? Folkstyle sessions are $160. No wrestler will be turned away for financial reasons, please contact the coach if arrangements are needed. Is an Insurance card needed? Yes, the Bear Wrestling Club is affiliated with USA Wrestling. We will compete in USA Wrestling sanctioned events so each wrestler will need a USA Wrestling Card How do I get a USA Wrestling Card? Go to www.themat.com (This link is also under 'Helpful Links' in the Bear Club App.) Click on ‘Join USA Wrestling’ Click on 'Create Free Account' Enter parent and child info Write down your USAW ID and continue Select Athlete or child's name Enter information and assign the wrestler to the 'Bear Wrestling Club' (search AZ clubs). Choose a membership type Arizona Full Membership (recommended if wrestling all year) Arizona Limited Folkstyle (this will work for session I/ session II. It is not valid for Freestyle) Please make sure you are purchasing a card for the current season (Sept 2021/Aug 2022) When is practice? We practice in the Basha High School wrestling room on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. We occasionally have practices on other days of the week for make-up practices and/or getting ready for larger tournaments. Typical practice times are Beginners – Tuesday and Friday (5:30pm – 6:45pm) Advanced - Wednesday (5:30pm – 7:00pm) and Friday (6:45pm – 8:00pm) What does my kid need at practice? Each wrestler should be prepared to practice with: short sleeve shirt shorts wrestling shoes (Please have them on before practice starts) water Mouthpiece, if the wrestler has braces hand sanitizer Do you practice during school breaks? Yes, we practice during Fall Break and Spring Break. Do parents need to be present at practice? Parents do not need to be present at practice if their wrestler is well mannered.

ACP Swim & Dive* Skill and Conditioning Clinics Who: Arizona College Prep Swimmers and Divers*, Grades 8-12 When: Saturdays, 2/12-5/14, no camp 2/19, 3/19, 4/16 Where: Kerry Croswhite Aquatic Center (CHS) Pool Time: 8:45-11:00 (dryland & stretching starts at 8:45am) Cost: $60 for all 10 Saturdays *Diving will take place on 6 Saturdays: 2/26, 3/5, 3/26, 4/2, 4/9, 4/16.
