Program Description: Student will bring their own guitar. A classical guitar is best (it’s easier on the fingers) and should be the right size for your student. If you go to any guitar store, they should be able to help with sizing.
Students will learn the basics of playing the guitar, including how to hold and care for the instrument, string names, strumming and finger-picking techniques, reading standard notation and TAB, reading and playing chords, playing with an accompaniment.
For More Advanced Students: Students will learn at their own pace, with specific instruction on advanced guitar techniques and concepts, including advanced finger-picking techniques, strumming variations, minor chords, 12-bar blues progression, arpeggios, duets, scales, syncopation, singing while playing accompaniment, shifting positions, barre chords, and more. Students will need to bring their own guitar and picks. Students should practice at home for the best results.
Special Instructions:
