Competitive Robotics 5th 6th Grade Club at CTA Goodman
Program Description: 5th and 6th CTA Goodman students are invited to sign up for CTA Goodman’s Competitive Robotics Club! You and a partner (teacher determined) will work together to build this year’s Hero Bot- Swish. Your team will have 60 seconds, 30 seconds each to drive your robot around a 6ft by 8ft course collecting balls and scoring goals by launching the balls into targeted areas for points.
Please only sign up if you are seriously interested, this will be a big commitment. Robotics Club will meet a total of 19 times + two Saturdays. Each meet will be spent building your robot until it’s finished. Once finished, you and your partner will code and strategize how you will use your 60 seconds in play practicing driving and tossing balls into the target. Only the robots built in time will get to participate in Saturday events.
