It’s ukulele & guitar time!
Whether you’re a total beginner or already have experience playing, please consider joining ukulele & guitar club at CTA Liberty!
Who: 3rd to 6th graders with their own instrument are welcome to join Profe Farmer.
What: A great musical experience is waiting for you. Unless you have prior experience strumming on an instrument, it is recommended that you begin on the ukulele, since it is a friendlier instrument for beginners. You will learn simple melodies and chords. Singing isn’t required, but it’s encouraged. If you are more experienced, you will explore more complex chords, strumming patterns and melodies.
In addition to having your own ukulele or guitar, please purchase a capo, which is a clamp that can help you play in different keys. This is especially essential for the guitar, since playing guitar on capo 5 has the same fingering patterns for playing most chords and melodies on the ukulele.

When: Wednesday afternoons from 3:10 to 4:00, August 6 to December 10. Please note exceptions. No meetings on the following dates:
August 20 (conferences)
September 24 and October 1 (Fall break)
November 26 (Thanksgiving holiday)
Performance:
Wednesday, December 3 in CTA Liberty MPR, concert with Orffestra at 6pm
