Fulton Musical Theatre (4th - 6th)

Who can join? Any 4th, 5th, or 6th grade student who loves to sing, perform, and be part of something magical! Musical Theatre at Fulton Elementary is the perfect place for students who want to express themselves through acting, singing, and storytelling—all while working together as a team. In this exciting club, students will explore what it means to be part of an ensemble, build confidence on stage, and grow their performance skills. This year, Musical Theatre will proudly present Alice in Wonderland Jr.—a fun, fast-paced show filled with unforgettable characters and musical moments!

When do we meet? Rehearsals for Alice in Wonderland JR. will take place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 7:40–8:25 AM, beginning October 7th and continuing through February 25th. To use our time efficiently, not all cast members will be required at every rehearsal. Students will be scheduled based on the specific scenes and songs being rehearsed. A detailed calendar with dates, times, and cast requirements will be provided once roles are assigned.

There will be no morning rehearsals on the following dates: November 11 & 26; December 3, 23, 24, 30, & 31; January 6 & 7; February 25.

Additional rehearsals include: February 18 and 19 (conference half days), with rehearsals scheduled from 12:00 to 3:00 PM and lunch from 11:30 to 12:00, a mandatory full-cast dress rehearsal on February 24 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, and a school-day dress rehearsal on February 25 from 8:30 to 10:30 AM.

Are there performances? Yes, we will perform Alice in Wonderland Jr. three times: a school-day performance on Wednesday, February 25th, followed by two evening performances—one on Wednesday, February 25th and another on Thursday, February 26th.

Where do we meet? The Fulton Music Room.

How much does it cost? The participation fee is $250 and includes a musical theatre t-shirt, access to at least 19 rehearsals (with additional sessions for lead roles), a script and licensing rights for Alice in Wonderland JR., all set design and props, a cast lunch on February 25, three performances, and administrative fees collected by Community Education. Families are responsible for providing a costume based on their child’s assigned role. Costume guidelines and suggestions will be provided, and most costumes typically range from $40 to $50.

Rehearsal Attendance Expectations
Musical Theatre cast members are expected to arrive on time and be prepared for all rehearsals and performances. If a student needs to miss a rehearsal due to illness or a family emergency, a parent or guardian must notify Mrs. Landi in advance. Please note: two unexcused absences may result in removal from a performance or a reassignment of the student’s role.
