CTA Independence Cross Country

Program Description:

Lace up your sneakers and join the fun! Build strength, endurance, confidence, and friendships while discovering the excitement of cross-country with Mrs. Flores! Participate in two optional 5k Races around the Valley. Additional charges/parental attendance to be expected.

Here’s what you’ll do in Cross Country Club: 

✅ Practice fun drills and interval Training 

✅ Warm up like the pros’

✅ Time your mile and track your progress

✅ Set personal goals and work toward them

✅ Be part of a positive, supportive team!

Come when you can! No stress if you miss a day! Just show up, try your best, and enjoy the journey. ?

Grades Levels of Students (Min and Max): 2nd – 6^th Grade

Start and End Date Program:

Start: Wednesday August 3^rd, 2026

End: September 14^th, 2026 

NO Club on September 7th

Time and Days of the week:

Monday and Wednesday Mornings, 7:30am – 8:05am

Location (School and Room/Area):

Fields Behind the school.

Enter campus on the west side, and walk through the open gates towards the field.

Cost per Participant: $80

Special Instructions:

• Safety and sportsmanship will be expected, students who cannot be safe or show sportsmanship, will be unenrolled from the club, and club fees will not be returned.
• Please inform Ms. Wilkes of any medical inquiries such as asthma, seizure, allergies, etc.
• Attire: Athletic shoes (Tennis shoes with laces), no vans, no basketball shoes. Bring a water bottle.
• Students will have the opportunity to eat a paid breakfast after the club. Breakfast time is between 8:15am- 8:33am.
