Riggs Cross Country Club

Program Description: Students will build stamina and endurance as we teach them how to run long distances. Students will learn in-depth running mechanics, drills, interval training, strides, and how to properly warm-up and cool down. They will learn how to set goals for themselves and learn a variety of strategies on ways to improve their overall personal performance. Practices twice a week (Tues and Fri) in the morning before school. There are no penalizations if you miss a practice. This is a good way to prepare for the running club season which begins at the beginning of November. Any 5th/6th grade students in the track and field program can also attend to practice their events.

Grades Levels of Students (Min and Max): K-6th

Start and End Date Program: Jan 27 – Feb 27 (10 total)

Time and Days of the week: 7:35 - 8:10, Tuesday and Friday Mornings

Location (School and Room/Area): Riggs Basketball Courts/Fields

Cost per Participant: $97
