Fulton Fire Choir (4th-6th)
Who can join? Any 4th, 5th, or 6th grade student who loves to sing and wants to be part of a fun and talented group! The Fulton Fire Choir is perfect for students who enjoy expressing themselves through music and performing arts. Along the way, singers will learn proper vocal techniques, develop breath control, and how to sing in two-part harmony. Students will also develop ensemble skills and learn how to work together toward shared musical goals. Plus, it’s a great foundation for those interested in Musical Theatre!
When do we meet? Rehearsals take place every Friday from 7:40 AM to 8:25 AM, running from August 28th through November 20th. Extra rehearsals at the same time are scheduled for December 3rd (Holiday Concert prep) as well as January 8th and 15th (CUSD Choral Festival prep). Please note that there will be no rehearsals on November 13th (Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day), during Thanksgiving break, or during intersession.
Are there performances? Yes! The Holiday Concert will be held on December 3rd at 5:00 PM (with a call time of 4:30 PM), and the CUSD Choral Festival will take place on January 21st as a field trip.
Where do we meet? The Fulton Music Room.
How much does it cost? The fee is $150 and covers a choir t-shirt, 14 rehearsals with all necessary materials, participation in the Holiday Concert, a field trip to the CUSD Choral Festival (including a pizza lunch), a donut celebration on December 4th at 8:05 AM, as well as administrative fees collected by Community Education.
